Serie B round 22 caused change at the leadership position. Seventh defeat of league's leader Omegna (15-7) against sixth ranked Montecatiniterme (12-9) 73-68 was the most important game of the last round. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Guido Meini (188-79) who helped to win the game recording 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Point guard Valerio Circosta (188-87) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Four Montecatiniterme players scored in double figures. Guard Giovanni Gasparin (187-91, agency: Interperformances) replied with 18 points and 6 rebounds and forward Sebastiano Bianchi (195-92) added 14 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) in the effort for Omegna. Montecatiniterme moved-up to fifth place in B. Omegna at the other side dropped to the second position with seven games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Montegrano. Omegna will play next round against Domodossola trying to make it back to the top of the standings.
