Regular Season Round 23: Novipiu Casale - Agropoli 89-51

No shocking result in a game when ninth ranked Novipiu Casale (12-11) smashed at home 16th ranked Agropoli (5-18) 89-51 on Sunday. They outrebounded Agropoli 36-23 including a 32-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. Novipiu Casale shot the lights out from three sinking 17 long-distance shots on high 53.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Agropoli's players. The best player for the winners was the former international power forward Niccolo Martinoni (203-89) who scored 22 points and 8 rebounds. American forward Jordan Tolbert (201-92) chipped in 11 points and 6 rebounds. Novipiu Casale's coach Marco Ramondino felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American power forward Kevin Langford (204-85, college: TCU) produced 14 points and center Mattia Soloperto (208-80) added 8 points and 9 rebounds respectively for the guests. Novipiu Casale moved-up to eighth place in A2. Loser Agropoli keeps the sixteenth position with 18 games lost. Novipiu Casale will face higher ranked Treviglio (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Agropoli will play against Mens Sana 1871 (#10) and hope to win that game.
