There was an upset when higher ranked Scauri (10-11) was edged on the road by thirteenth ranked Patti (7-15) 77-74 on Sunday. Patti forced 19 Scauri turnovers and outrebounded them 38-25 including 17 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Quite impressive performance for guard Tindaro Gullo (175-86) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 8 assists. Forward Luca Bolletta (198-91) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Naturalized Argentinian point guard Dante Richotti (180-85) replied with a double-double by scoring 25 points, 7 rebounds, 10 assists and 7 steals and naturalized Argentinian swingman Santiago Boffelli (197-83) added 21 points in the effort for Scauri. Newly promoted Patti maintains thirteenth position in B with 7-15 record, which they share with Volpino AltoSeb. Loser Scauri keeps the ninth place with 11 games lost. Patti will face higher ranked Roma Luiss (#6) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
