Not a big story in a game when 12th ranked Bondi Ferrara (9-14) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Ravenna (15-8) 91-83 on Sunday. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was point guard Derrick Marks (190-93, college: Boise St.) who scored 28 points and 6 rebounds. Power forward Taylor Smith (199-91, college: SF Austin) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points, 13 rebounds and 5 blocks. Terrence Roderick (196-88, college: UAB) produced a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Laurence Bowers (203-90, college: Missouri) added 21 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. Four Ravenna and five Bondi Ferrara players scored in double figures. Ravenna maintains fourth place in A2 with 15-8 record. Loser Bondi Ferrara dropped to the thirteenth position with 14 games lost. Ravenna will face Jesi (#9) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Bondi Ferrara will play against F.Kontatto BO (#5) in Bologna and hope to win that game.
