Second Stage Round 6: Helsingborg - RIG Mark 88-75

No shocking result in a game when third ranked Helsingborg (8-7) defeated at home 6th ranked RIG Mark (3-9) 88-75 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Helsingborg. RIG Mark was better in third quarter 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was guard Anton Persson (180-97) who scored 20 points and 5 assists (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Guard Erik Joelsson (196-97) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. Four Helsingborg players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Tim Carlsten (183-0) who recorded 19 points and guard Ludvig Johansson (177-98) added 14 points and 4 assists respectively. RIG Mark's coach Michael Bree rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Helsingborg maintains third position in BEHS forts with 8-7 record despite having the same number of points like the leader IK Eos. Loser RIG Mark keeps the sixth place with nine games lost. Helsingborg will face Hoganas (#8) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. RIG Mark will play against Talje Knights and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
