An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Amritsar. First ranked Mumbai Ch. faced 3rd placed Punjab S.. Guests from Mumbai (5-1) defeated host Punjab S. (2-4) 102-94. It looked good early as Punjab S. took a 6-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Mumbai Ch. had a 30-14 second period charge getting the lead and Punjab S. was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 94-102. Mumbai Ch. made 25-of-33 charity shots (75.8 percent) during the game. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Punjab S. was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Nikhil Kumar orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. Prudhvi Reddy contributed with 22 points and 8 assists (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) for the winners. Ravi Bharadwaj answered with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds and Akhilesh Kumar added 16 points and 4 assists in the effort for Punjab S.Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Punjab S.'s coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Mumbai Ch. have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 5-1 record. Punjab S. lost third consecutive game. They keep the third position with four games lost.
