The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Doha: Al Shamal (#6) and Qatar Sports Club (#8). Qatar Sports Club was defeated at home 82-91 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Qatar Sports Club was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 24-14 charge of Al Shamal, which allowed them to win the game. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Al Shamal made 7 blocks. The best player for the winners was American point guard Reggie Hamilton (182-89, college: Oakland, agency: Octagon Europe) who scored 35 points (!!!) and 5 assists. Australian-South Sudanese forward Deng Deng (203-92, college: Baylor) chipped in a double-double by scoring 28 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks. American forward Quinton Doggett (206-90, college: Southern) produced a double-double by scoring 37 points (!!!) and 17 rebounds and international Abdulrahman Jamal added 23 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Al Shamal have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Al Wakrah. Qatar Sports Club lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with 13 games lost.
