Regular Season Round 21: Zamarat - Cadi La Seu 64-72

Date: March 1, 2017
Very expected game in Zamora where 12th ranked Zamarat (6-15) was defeated by seventh ranked Cadi La Seu (10-11) 72-64 on Wednesday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Zamarat won third quarter 17-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Cadi La Seu forced 19 Zamarat turnovers. Guard Andrea Vilaro (182-93, college: Florida) stepped up and scored 15 points for the winners and international center Georgina Bahi (190-89) chipped in 16 points. Cadi La Seu's coach Joan Carles Pie allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The best for the losing side was Brazilian forward Isabela Lyra (180-94) with 19 points and 7 rebounds and Czech point guard Katerina Bartonova (174-90) scored 6 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Cadi La Seu maintains seventh place with 10-11 record. Zamarat lost their third game in a row. They keep the twelfth position with 15 games lost. Cadi La Seu will face CREF Hola (#13) in Madrid in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Zamarat will play on the road against Gipuzkoa UPV in San Sebastian and hope to win that game.
