Regular Season Round 16: Shockers - Cleaners 85-72

Very predictable result when fourth ranked Shockers (11-5) defeated at home 10th ranked Cleaners (2-12) 85-72 on Wednesday. Shockers made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Cleaners turnovers and outrebounded them 56-45 including 20 on the offensive glass. Shockers looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Floyd Armbrister who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and Salathiel Dean who added 17 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Shockers players scored in double figures. At the losing side Tamiko King responded with 19 points, 6 assists and 4 steals and Herbert Knowles scored 14 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Shockers have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Cleaners lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with 12 games lost. Shockers will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Cleaners will play against Stingers (#5) and are hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
