We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams in Morteros where one of their biggest challengers Barrio Parque (15-14) was defeated by fourth ranked BHY Tiro Federal (12-18) 75-66 on Thursday. Barrio Parque was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. BHY Tiro Federal had a 33-19 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of naturalized Spanish swingman Martin Maximiliano (189-90) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Emiliano Correa (189-91) who added 12 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four BHY Tiro Federal players scored in double figures. At the losing side point guard Esteban Cantarutti (185-88) responded with 10 points and center Emiliano Rossi (200-88) scored 4 points and 10 rebounds. BHY Tiro Federal maintains fourth position with 12-18 record. Barrio Parque lost third consecutive game. They keep the third place with 14 games lost. BHY Tiro Federal will face Salta Basket (#4) on the road in the next round. Barrio Parque will play against Villa Angela in Villa Angela and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
