Second Stage Round 3: Kashan - Azad 66-64

Round 3 most important game was a defeat of Azad (2-1). They were edged by Kashan (1-1) 66-64 on Friday night. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 34-30 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. It was a great evening for international swingman Mohammad Shahrian (193) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 4 assists. The former international center Masoud Soleimani (207) helped adding 15 points and 7 rebounds. The best for the losing side was the former international Mozafari Rasoul (188-94) with 18 points and 5 rebounds and Swiss-Lithuanian guard Rolandas Alijevas (192-85) scored 5 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Azad's coach Farzad Kouhian rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Azad will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest. Kashan will try to continue on its current victory against Azad in Tehran.
