No shocking result in a game in Castellon where third ranked Leche Rio Breogan (17-8) won against 12th ranked Castello (11-15) 96-88 on Friday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Castello won fourth quarter 28-26. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Castello 39-24 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American center Matt Stainbrook (208-92, college: Xavier, agency: Three Eye Sports) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds. Argentinian-Italian guard Juan Fernandez (193-90, college: Temple) chipped in 21 points and 5 assists. Guard Eduardo Duran (190-91, agency: Duran International) produced 20 points and American forward Kyle Cooper (201-93, college: Hillsdale, agency: Duran International) added 19 points respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Castello's coach Toni Ten rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Leche Rio Breogan have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place. Loser Castello keeps the twelfth position with 15 games lost. They share it with Caceres. Leche Rio Breogan will meet at home league's leader Gipuzkoa in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Castello will play against Oviedo CB (#4) and hope to secure a win.
