Regular Season Round 31: Tsmoki II - Grodno-93 103-83

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Grodno-93 (25-3) in Minsk on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by third ranked Tsmoki II (18-8) 103-83. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Grodno-93. The game was mostly controlled by Tsmoki II. Grodno-93 managed to win third quarter 30-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Tsmoki II especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Grodno-93 helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for point guard Andrey Stavrovskiy (185-97) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists. Forward Maksim Liutych (200-97) helped adding 22 points. Five Tsmoki II players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international guard Dmitry Kuzmin (196-75) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists and forward Andrei Navoichyk (200-91) scored 25 points. Tsmoki II maintains third place with 18-8 record having nine points less than leader Grodno-93. Grodno-93 at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. Tsmoki II's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Minsk BSEU-GrandPrint.
