Date: March 4, 2017
Another interesting game was again a derby between two local teams from Tokyo: Tokyo Cinq R. (#5) and Otsuka A. (#3). Tokyo Cinq R. (13-17) smashed visiting Otsuka A. (18-10) by 17 points 83-66. American forward Jermaine Green (203-80, college: N.Texas, agency: Haylett Sports) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. American forward Kyle Richardson (201-91, college: Portland St.) produced a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and his fellow American import forward Ray Raymond (203-84, college: Wisconsin) added 10 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Tokyo Cinq R. have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 13-17 record, which they share with Aisin AW. Loser Otsuka A. keeps the third place with ten games lost. Tokyo Cinq R. will meet at home league's leader Kanazawa Sam. in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Otsuka A. will play against the league's second-placed Fukuoka Rizing and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
