Leader Perfumerias Avenida delivered the twenty first victory. This time they beat 10th ranked Al-Qazeres (9-13) 61-55 in Caceres. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Perfumerias Avenida dominated on the defensive end, holding Al-Qazeres to just 7 points in fourth quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of American-FYR Macedonian Chrissy Givens (180-85, college: Middle Tenn.St.) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 4 assists. Brazilian center Erika De-Souza (197-82, agency: Josep and Nicolas) contributed with 11 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Julie Forster (185-91, college: Albany) replied with 10 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and her fellow American import guard Ameryst Alston (175-93, college: Ohio St.) added 17 points in the effort for Al-Qazeres. Perfumerias Avenida (21-1) have an impressive 16-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position. Al-Qazeres lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth place with 13 games lost. They share the position with Bembibre. Perfumerias Avenida will play against league's second-placed Argon Uni Girona at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Al-Qazeres will play against Araski (#4) in Vitoria-Gasteiz and hopes to get back on the winning track.
