Regular Season Round 16: Tokyo HT - Aisin AW 105-86

Not a big story in a game when 6th ranked Aisin AW (13-17) was rolled over on the road by fourth ranked Tokyo HT (17-11) 105-86 on Saturday. Tokyo HT dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Aisin AW's 42. They outrebounded Aisin AW 45-24 including a 31-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. Aisin AW was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Brian Harper (208-85, college: Paine) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) and the other American import power forward Alex Jones (206-87, college: Seattle) who added 18 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side point guard Kei Kato (172-93) responded with 20 points and 5 assists and guard Fujita Shunsuke (187-93) scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Tokyo HT maintains fourth position with 17-11 record. Loser Aisin AW dropped to the fifth place with 17 games lost. Tokyo HT will face Toyoda Gosei (#8) in Aichi in the next round.
