Regular Season Round 19: Zabok - Jolly JBS 98-85

The game between second ranked Jolly (15-4) and ninth ranked KK Zabok (7-11) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Jolly was defeated by KK Zabok in Zabok 98-85. The game was mostly controlled by KK Zabok. Jolly managed to win second period 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. KK Zabok looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for guard Hrvoje Puljko (193-83, agency: Mansfield and Associates) who led his team to a victory scoring 24 points and 6 assists. Forward Marin Zrnic (201-88) helped adding 19 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). KK Zabok's coach Dragutin Crnjevic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side the former international forward Ivan Novacic (201-85, agency: XL Basketball Agency) responded with 21 points and 9 rebounds and American point guard Mike Scott (183-93, college: Idaho, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) scored 14 points and 6 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. KK Zabok have a solid series of three victories in a row. KK Zabok maintains ninth place with 7-11 record. Jolly at the other side keeps the second position with four games lost. They share it with GKK Sibenik. KK Zabok is looking forward to face higher ranked KK Zadar (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Jolly will play against Cibona (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
