The game in Dik El Mehdi was also quite interesting. 7th ranked Sagesse (4-10) played at the court of eighth ranked Champville (5-9). Champville managed to secure a 7-point victory 89-82 on Saturday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 26-15. But Sagesse won second period 26-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Champville looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. American power forward Darian Townes (208-84) had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 15 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import swingman Brandon Thomas (198-84, college: Massachusetts, agency: Three Eye Sports) chipped in 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. American guard Terrell Stoglin (185-91, college: Maryland) responded with 33 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and Nigerian-American guard Michael Efevberha (193-84, college: CS Northridge) scored 17 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Sagesse players scored in double figures. Champville moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Tadamon. Sagesse lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. Champville will meet bottom-ranked Mayrouba (#10) on the road in the next round. Sagesse will play against Louaize and hope to secure a win.
