There was a minor upset in Santiago de Camp. where 7th ranked Ponferrada CDP (11-8) was crushed by ninth ranked Rosalia (9-10) 101-74 on Saturday. The game without a history. Rosalia led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Rosalia forced 23 Ponferrada CDP turnovers. Guard Dario Suarez (181-87) scored 25 points, 7 assists and 5 steals (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and guard Anton Bouzan (188-95) chipped in 22 points and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side Haitian-American forward James Cambronne (201-91, college: St.Michael's) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds and American guard Sam Prescott (190-90, college: Mt.St.Mary's) scored 16 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Rosalia have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to eighth place in Group A-B, which they share with Betanzos. Newly promoted Ponferrada CDP dropped to the sixth position with eight games lost. Rosalia will face higher ranked Calidus Gal.COB (#4) in Ourense in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
