Regular Season Round 20: AGOR - Kymis 84-73

Date: March 4, 2017
No shocking result in a game in Rethymno where seventh ranked AGOR (9-11) defeated 12th ranked Kymis (6-14) 84-73. The game was mostly controlled by AGOR. Kymis was better in second period 26-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They shot the lights out from three nailing 16 long-distance shots on high 59.3 percentage. The winners were led by American point guard Gary Talton (185-90, college: Ill.-Chicago) who scored that evening 18 points and 7 assists and the other American import forward Robert Arnold (198-88, college: Boise St.) supported him with 19 points and 6 rebounds. Four AGOR players scored in double figures. Even 19 points and 6 rebounds by center Stavros Toutziarakis (210-87, agency: Octagon Europe) did not help to save the game for Kymis. American forward Daniel Orton (208-90, college: Kentucky) added 16 points and 5 rebounds for the guests. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. AGOR maintains seventh position with 9-11 record. Newly promoted Kymis keeps the twelfth place with 14 games lost. AGOR's next round opponent will be higher ranked PAOK (#5) in Thessaloniki and it may be quite challenging game. Kymis will play at home against Kolossos HH (#6) and hope to win that game.
