There was no surprise in Lleida where 9th ranked Vive El Masnou (8-11) was defeated by third ranked Pardinyes-L. (15-4) 76-61 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Pardinyes-L.. Vive El Masnou was better in third quarter 13-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Forward Javier Mendiburu (197-80) scored 14 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Estonian Kregor Hermet (204-97) chipped in 21 points during the contest. Pardinyes-L.'s coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side Albert Valle-Vives (-92) responded with 12 points and 6 rebounds and forward Silvestre Esteves-Garcia (195-97) scored 8 points and 9 rebounds. Pardinyes-L. have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in Group C-B. Loser Vive El Masnou keeps the ninth position with 11 games lost. Pardinyes-L. will face Muro Basquet (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Vive El Masnou will play against Palma II and hope to win that game.
