Second Stage Round 5: Heffingen - Kordall Steelers 85-91

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Heffingen. Third ranked Kordall Steelers faced second-ranked Heffingen. Guests from Rodange (14-8) defeated host Heffingen (16-6) 91-85. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Heffingen won fourth quarter 25-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Kordall Steelers forced 21 Heffingen turnovers. 31 personal fouls committed by Heffingen helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American forward Antonio Bivins (198-92, college: Mass.-Lowell) nailed a double-double by scoring 41 points (!!!), 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 9 steals for the winning side and forward Sascha Muepu (200-88) accounted for 22 points and 9 rebounds. American power forward Mike Jones (203-83, college: N.Texas) came up with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 16 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and Serbian swingman Nikola Pavlovic (195-93, agency: Dynamics Global Management) added 17 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals respectively for Heffingen in the defeat. Newly promoted Kordall Steelers maintains third place in League with 14-8 record having eight points less than leader Amicale. Heffingen at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the second position with six games lost. Kordall Steelers' next round opponent will be Bascharage (#4) in Kaerjeng. Heffingen will play on the road against the league's second-placed Residence in Bereldange and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
