LF2 round 21 caused change at the leadership position. Sixth defeat of league's leader C.Adelantados (16-6) against fourth ranked ASEFA Estudiantes (16-5) 71-63 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the ten-game winning streak of C.Adelantados. It was a key game for the top position in Group B. The hosts trailed by 7 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 71-63. ASEFA Estudiantes forced 19 C.Adelantados turnovers. 28 personal fouls committed by C.Adelantados helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for center Mariana Gonzalez (187-88) who led her team to a victory with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Irene San-Andres contributed with 16 points for the winners. American guard Tyonna Outland (173-92, college: CSU Bakersfield) answered with 27 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Gema Garcia (165-85) added 11 points in the effort for C.Adelantados. C.Adelantados' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. ASEFA Estudiantes have an impressive series of nine victories in a row. They keep a position of Group B leader, which they share with Alcobendas and Leganes. C.Adelantados at the other side dropped to the fourth place with six games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Alcobendas. C.Adelantados will play next round against Adareva trying to make it back to the top of the standings. ASEFA Estudiantes will try to continue on its current victory against thirteenth ranked Valencia on the road.
