There was no surprise when 13th ranked Limoges (5-15) was defeated at home by sixth ranked Reims (12-8) 63-59 on Saturday. Limoges was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. The best player for the winners was forward Maimouna Ba (190-96) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Sarah Ousfar (183-93) chipped in 21 points and 5 assists. Point guard Tiphaine Melois (170-94) produced 10 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists and Ukrainian center Anna Kiriienko (190-93) added 10 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four Limoges players scored in double figures. Reims moved-up to fourth place, which they share with COB Calais and Arras. Loser Limoges keeps the thirteenth position with 15 games lost. Reims will face Dunkerque (#11) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Limoges will play against the league's second-placed Roche in La Roche and hope to win that game.
