Second Stage Round 7: Alvik Basket - LF Future 105-73

And finally the game worth to mention about is Alvik Basket's 32-point blow over 5th ranked LF Future 105-73. The hosts trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 32 points. Alvik Basket dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to LF Future's 36 and made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Alvik Basket forced 20 LF Future turnovers and outrebounded them 43-23 including a 31-12 advantage in defensive rebounds. Alvik Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by LF Future's players. It was a very good performance for forward Richard Hartmann (203-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points and 14 rebounds. Forward Jacob Andersson (196-89, college: CS San Marcos) contributed with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winners. Guard Erik Edin (185-91) answered with 27 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and American guard Brian Curry (185-86) added 14 points in the effort for LF Future. Four LF Future players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Alvik Basket maintains eighth place in Superettan with 2-8 record. Loser LF Future dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. Alvik Basket will have a break next round.
