Rather expected game in Astana where 8th ranked Tigers Ast. (8-7) was rolled over by fifth ranked Bars (14-1) 87-60 on Sunday. Bars dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Tigers Ast.'s 22. They outrebounded Tigers Ast. 49-29 including a 35-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was power forward Maxim Nalagov (198-94) who had a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds. Russian point guard Valentin Kirilin (180-97) chipped in 18 points. Four Bars players scored in double figures. Bars' coach Pavel Antonenko felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Erzhan Nurbaev (182-90) who recorded 19 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Sergey Buzun (192-97) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively.
