Regular Season Round 24: Ammerud Bskt - Centrum 43-127

9th ranked Ammerud Bskt (5-22) was outscored at home by fifth ranked Centrum (16-11) with the biggest margin this round 127-43. The game without a history. Centrum led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Ammerud Bskt to just 6 points in fourth quarter. Centrum dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Ammerud Bskt's 24 and had 25 for 35 from the free-throw line, while Ammerud Bskt only scored four points from the stripe. Centrum forced 28 Ammerud Bskt turnovers and outrebounded them 43-21 including a 33-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Centrum especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.6 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Ammerud Bskt's players. Ammerud Bskt was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The winners were led by American Torgrim Sommerfeldt (198-89, college: Manhattan) who scored that evening 21 points and 6 assists and point guard Magnus Midtvedt (182-90) supported him with 19 points (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Five Centrum players scored in double figures. Even 12 points by forward Emil Hoel (190-94) did not help to save the game for Ammerud Bskt. Guard Jonathan Maehlum (186-98) added 9 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains fifth position with 16-11 record. Ammerud Bskt lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 22 games lost.
