There was no surprise in Malaga where 8th ranked Real Betis SVL 2 (1-8) was defeated by fourth ranked Novaschool (6-4) 88-79 on Sunday. The game without a history. Novaschool led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Novaschool forced 20 Real Betis SVL 2 turnovers. Real Betis SVL 2 was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Alex Jackson (200-84, college: Mo.-St.Louis) scored 21 points and 8 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and center Anastasio Vazquez (204-92) chipped in 18 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Worth to mention Jackson played also at Eurobasket Summer League, which helped get the job in pro basketball. At the losing side Polish point guard Andrzej Pluta (183-0) responded with 19 points and 5 rebounds and Alvaro Cuervas scored 14 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Novaschool moved-up to third place in Group D Perman, which they share with Utrera. Real Betis SVL 2 lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
