Regular Season Round 44: Aomori Watts - Hiroshima D. 74-82

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Aomori. Second ranked Dragonflies faced 4th ranked Aomori Watts. Guests from Hiroshima (33-9) defeated host Aomori Watts (17-25) 82-74. Aomori Watts were tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Australian-Trinidad and Tobago guard Daniel Dillon (193-86, college: Arizona) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and Senegalese center Aziz N'Diaye (213-88, college: Washington) who added 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) during the contest. Dragonflies' coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Alan Wiggins (206-85, college: USF) responded with 16 points and his fellow American import center Kyle Barone (208-89, college: Idaho) scored 16 points. Four Aomori Watts players scored in double figures. Dragonflies maintains second position with 33-9 record having just two point less than leader Gunma. Loser Aomori Watts keep the fourth place with 25 games lost. They share the position with Cyberdyne IR. Dragonflies will meet at home Iwate Big Bulls (#6) in the next round. Aomori Watts will play against Kagoshima in Renova and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
