Regular Season Round 21: Namika Lr - HyPo 74-95

No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked HyPo (15-9) crushed 13th ranked Namika Lr (5-19) in Lappeenranta 95-74 on Sunday. The game without a history. HyPo led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. HyPo outrebounded Namika Lr 51-35 including a 39-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a good game for American guard De'Andre Upchurch (188-91, college: Tarleton St.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists. Forward Ilkka Blomqvist (196-84) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four HyPo players scored in double figures. HyPo's coach Besim Maxhuni felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Swingman Anttoni Tapio (193-92) answered with 26 points and 5 rebounds and forward Santeri Mantynen (192-95) added 22 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Namika Lr. HyPo moved-up to fifth place in Division. Loser Namika Lr keeps the thirteenth position with 19 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
