Regular Season Round 21: Hapoel Holon - Bnei Hertzeliyya 55-59

An interesting game for Bnei Hasharon (13-8) which played road game in Holon against second-best Hapoel Holon (14-7). Third ranked Bnei Hasharon managed to get a 4-point victory 59-55. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Hapoel Holon won fourth quarter 14-9. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Bnei Hasharon had a 35-20 advantage in offensive rebounds. International forward Karam Mashour (198-91, college: Morehead St., agency: Three Eye Sports) stepped up and scored 9 points and 18 rebounds for the winners and American-Georgian point guard Taurean Green (183-85, college: Florida) chipped in 15 points and 5 assists. The best for the losing side was American swingman James Bell (197-92, college: Villanova) with 18 points and 6 rebounds and guard Shlomi Harush (185-87) scored 8 points and 5 rebounds. Hapoel Holon's coach Dan Shamir rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Bnei Hasharon maintains third place with 13-8 record having just two points less than leader Maccabi T-A. Hapoel Holon at the other side keeps the second position with seven games lost. Bnei Hasharon will play against Maccabi Ashdod (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hapoel Holon will play against Maccabi K/G (#12) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
