Regular Season Round 22: Martorell - AEC Collblanc 89-59

No shocking result in a game when second ranked Martorell (14-5) outleveled at home 5th ranked AEC Collblanc (10-8) 89-59 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Martorell. AEC Collblanc was better in second period 21-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Martorell dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to AEC Collblanc's 32. Martorell forced 22 AEC Collblanc turnovers. Guard David Jofresa (185-95) scored 17 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Ruben Morales (193-85) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Five Martorell players scored in double figures. At the losing side Cuban center Rangel Ramirez (206-75) responded with 12 points and 7 rebounds and center Angel Soto (205-90) scored 8 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Martorell keeps a position of Group C-A leader, which they share with Calvia. AEC Collblanc lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with eight games lost. Martorell will face league's leader Calvia on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. AEC Collblanc will play against Menorca (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
