The game between second ranked Familia Schio (15-4) and sixth ranked Ragusa (11-7) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Familia Schio was crushed by Ragusa in Ragusa 52-78. The game without a history. Ragusa led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Familia Schio's 32. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Erlana Larkins (185-86, college: N.Carolina) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). International guard Maddalena Gorini (182-92) contributed with 11 points and 6 assists for the winners. Four Ragusa players scored in double figures. American Jolene Anderson (175-86, college: Wisconsin) answered with 16 points and the former international guard Giorgia Sottana (178-88, agency: Two Points) added 9 points in the effort for Familia Schio. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ragusa have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain sixth place with 11-7 record. Defending champion Familia Schio dropped to the third position with four games lost. Ragusa are looking forward to face higher ranked Napoli (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Familia Schio will play against the league's leader Lucca and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
