Regular Season Round 28: SP Las Parejas - Union SF 81-87

Not a big story in a game in Las Parejas where 6th ranked Sportivo (7-24) was defeated by first ranked Union SF (23-7) 87-81 on Monday. Sportivo was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 29-22 charge of Union SF, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Guillermo Aliende (178-97, agency: DTMones) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 8 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and swingman Bruno Barovero (194-90) who added 19 points during the contest. At the losing side guard Augusto Rossi (192-88) responded with 22 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Dominique McKoy (203-93, college: Duquesne, agency: Interperformances) scored 22 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Union SF maintains first position with 23-7 record. Newly promoted Sportivo keeps the sixth place with 24 games lost. Union SF will face league's leader Hindu in Chaco in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sportivo will play at home against the league's leader Hindu (#1) and hope to win that game.
