There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Pyrinto II (7-16) crushed 8th ranked Jarvenpaa (8-16) in Tampere 97-55 on Monday. The game without a history. Pyrinto II led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 80 of its points in the paint compared to Jarvenpaa's 24. They outrebounded Jarvenpaa 43-26 including a 33-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. Pyrinto II looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Jarvenpaa's players. It was a good game for guard Justus Kilpinen (193-93) who led his team to a victory with 27 points and 8 rebounds (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). American forward Terrell Vinson (201-90, college: Massachusetts, agency: HMS) contributed with 22 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Pyrinto II players scored in double figures. Point guard Leo Tarjanne (189-95) answered with 13 points and American forward HL Coleman (202-74, college: Wyoming) added 13 points in the effort for Jarvenpaa. Pyrinto II maintains tenth place in Division with 7-16 record. Loser Jarvenpaa keeps the eighth position with 16 games lost. Pyrinto II will face higher ranked Porvoon Tarmo (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
