Regular Season Round 25: Alvik Basket - Udominate 70-92

An interesting game for Udominate (26-0) which played road game in Stockholm against 3rd placed Alvik Basket (15-11). Leader Udominate had an easy win 92-70. The game without a history. Udominate led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Udominate forced 24 Alvik Basket turnovers and outrebounded them 39-27 including a 17-6 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Udominate especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Latvian center Zenta Melnika (197-91) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 blocks. The former international guard Martina Stalvant (176-89, agency: Two Points) contributed with 24 points for the winners. Udominate's coach Tamara Ruzic felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fanny Hakanson (171-97) answered with 9 points and 11 assists and American forward Dyana Pierre (185-93, college: S.Illinois) added 12 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Alvik Basket. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Udominate have an impressive series of twenty victories in a row. They maintain first place with 26-0 record. Alvik Basket at the other side keeps the third position with 11 games lost. Udominate are looking forward to face KFUM Ostersund (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Alvik Basket will play against IK Eos (#7) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
