We should mention about the upset which took place in Sao Paulo, where higher ranked Vivo/Franca (14-9) lost at home to eleventh ranked SKY/Basquete (10-13) 78-82 on Tuesday. It was a great shooting night for SKY/Basquete especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard David Rossetto (180-93) who helped to win the game recording 22 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and the former international Luis-Felipe Gruber (206-85) who added 19 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four SKY/Basquete players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international Lucas Cipolini (206-86, college: BYU-Hawaii) with 16 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Alexey Borges (188-95) scored 9 points and 5 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. SKY/Basquete maintains eleventh position with 10-13 record. Loser Vivo/Franca dropped to the fifth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Vitoria. SKY/Basquete will meet higher ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (#3) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Vivo/Franca will play against Universo/Vitoria and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
