Regular Season Round 27: CFBB - Caen 67-92

NM1 top team - Caen (21-6) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighteenth ranked CFBB (0-27) in Paris 92-67. The game was mostly controlled by Caen. CFBB was better in fourth quarter 21-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Caen forced 27 CFBB turnovers. CFBB was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a quality performance for American power forward Richie Gordon (203-89, college: W.Carolina) who led the winners and scored 14 points and 6 assists. Lithuanian forward Justas Sinica (203-85) accounted for 17 points for the winning side. Four Caen players scored in double figures. Forward Ivan Fevrier (203-99) came up with 14 points and point guard Yanik Blanc (184-99) added 18 points respectively for CFBB in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Caen have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. They maintain first place with 21-6 record. CFBB at the other side still closes the standings. Caen will play against Gries/Oberhoffen (#12) in Bischwiller in the next round which should be another easy win for them. CFBB will play on the road against UB Chartres (#9) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
