Regular Season Round 21: Bourg - Lille 59-68

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked JL Bourg (15-6) at the home court on Tuesday night. Hosts were defeated by fifth ranked Lille Metropole (12-9) 68-59. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of JL Bourg. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. American point guard Deonte Burton (183-91, college: Nevada) stepped up and scored 23 points for the winners and naturalized Burkinabe Jean-Victor Traore (204-85) chipped in 5 points and 12 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Senegalese center Youssou Ndoye (213-91, college: St.Bonaventure) with a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds and American center Zachery Peacock (203-87, college: Georgia Tech) scored 10 points and 9 rebounds. JL Bourg's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Lille Metropole moved-up to third place, which they share with Blois and Charleville. JL Bourg at the other side still keeps top position with six games lost. They share it with Provence Basket. Lille Metropole is looking forward to face Denain Voltaire (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. JL Bourg will play against SPO Rouen (#11) and is hoping to win this game.
