Regular Season Round 21: Tarvas - TTU 82-80

A very close game took place in Rakvere between BC Rakvere and TTU. Seventh ranked BC Rakvere (6-16) got a very close home victory over 5th ranked TTU (12-9). BC Rakvere managed to escape with a 2-point win 82-80 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of TTU. TTU was trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 27-23 charge of BC Rakvere, which allowed them to win the game. They made 22-of-25 free shots (88.0 percent) during the game. Point guard Siim-Markus Post (183-97) nailed 32 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and forward Karl-Johan Lips (198-96) accounted for 15 points and 9 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Sander Viilup (190-97) came up with 16 points and 9 rebounds and the former international Toomas Raadik (202-90, agency: Promotex) added 12 points and 12 rebounds respectively for TTU in the defeat. Five TTU players scored in double figures. Despite that victory BC Rakvere went down to eighth position due to points difference. Loser TTU keeps the fifth place with nine games lost. BC Rakvere will meet higher ranked TLU/Kalev (#6) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. TTU will play against the league's leader Tartu Ulikool where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
