The game in Campo Mourao was also worth to mention about. Second ranked Brasilia (17-7) played at the court of 8th ranked Campo Mourao (13-12). Brasilia defeated Campo Mourao 90-80. Brasilia shot the lights out from three nailing 13 long-distance shots on high 54.2 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. International Guilherme Giovannoni (203-80) stepped up and scored 28 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners and international power forward Lucas Mariano (208-93) chipped in 21 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side American guard Isaac Thornton (190-91, college: Fairmont St.) responded with 19 points and 4 assists and Vinicius Oliveira (200-90) scored 16 points (made all of his nine free throws !!!). Four Campo Mourao players scored in double figures. Campo Mourao's coach Emerson Souza rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Brasilia keeps a position of league leader. Campo Mourao at the other side keeps the eighth place with 12 games lost. Brasilia will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Campo Mourao will play on the road against the league's second-placed Mogi (#2) in Mogi das Cruzes and hopes to get back on the winning track.
