Regular Season Round 21: Parnu - TLU/Kalev 75-84

There was a small surprise when sixth ranked TLU/Kalev (8-14) beat on the road 4th placed Parnu (13-10) 84-75 on Friday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 18-13. But Parnu won second period 19-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Strangely Parnu outrebounded TLU/Kalev 40-27 including 25 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for forward Janis Vahter (196-86) who led his team to a victory with 23 points and 5 assists. Montenegrin center Stefan Knezevic (204-89) contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Croatian center Domagoj Bubalo (212-91) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Saimon Sutt (200-95) added 19 points in the effort for Parnu. Four Parnu players scored in double figures. TLU/Kalev maintains sixth place with 8-14 record. Loser Parnu keeps the fourth position with ten games lost. TLU/Kalev will face BC Rakvere (#8) at home in the next round. Parnu will play against Rapla (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
