Regular Season Round 22: Rouen - Bourg 75-87

Leader JL Bourg delivered the sixteenth win on Friday night. This time they beat 11th ranked SPO Rouen (10-12) 87-75. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of SPO Rouen. The game was mostly controlled by JL Bourg. SPO Rouen managed to win third quarter 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Maxime Courby (200-90) fired 26 points (perfect from downtown making all seven shots !!!) for the winners. American center Zachery Peacock (203-87, college: Georgia Tech) chipped in 23 points and 6 rebounds. Four JL Bourg players scored in double figures. JL Bourg's coach Savo Vucevic used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Icelandic Haukur Palsson (197-92, college: Maryland) produced a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Gaylor Curier (197-92) added 8 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. JL Bourg maintains first position with 16-6 record, which they share with Provence Basket. SPO Rouen at the other side keeps the eleventh place with 12 games lost. They share the position with Denain. JL Bourg is looking forward to face ALM Evreux (#6) at home in the next round where they are favorite. SPO Rouen will play against ADA Blois (#5) and is hoping to prove to their fans that the loss was just an accident.
