Regular Season Round 15: Pacific Caesar - CLS Knights 66-87
Date: March 10, 2017
The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Surabaya: CLS Knights (#2) and Pacific Caesar (#5). Pacific Caesar was crushed at home by 21 points 66-87 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The game was mostly controlled by CLS Knights. Pacific Caesar managed to win fourth quarter 25-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Pacific Caesar 57-30 including a 40-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. CLS Knights looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 18 passes made by Pacific Caesar's players. It was a good game for American forward Dechriston McKinney (203-92, college: Arkansas Tech) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 17 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Jamarr Johnson (193-88, college: Widener) contributed with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. Canadian forward Kevin Loiselle (198-88) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and American guard David Seagers (188-88, college: Dowling) added 21 points and 5 assists in the effort for Pacific Caesar. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. CLS Knights (10-1) have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Defending champion (10-1) keeps a position of league leader. Pacific Caesar at the other side dropped to the seventh place with five games lost. CLS Knights will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Pacific Caesar will play on the road against NSH GMC (#8) in Jakarta and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
