Second Stage Round 8: Hoganas - RIG Mark 88-76

There was a small surprise when eighth ranked Hoganas (3-11) beat at home 6th ranked RIG Mark (4-11) 88-76 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Hoganas. RIG Mark was better in third quarter 16-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hoganas dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to RIG Mark's 34. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Lithuanian guard Aurimas Bulsis (196-91) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and Lithuanian center Martynas Kuksta (203-89) who added 15 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Five Hoganas players scored in double figures. Forward Kevin Senghore-Peterson (198-98) responded with 20 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and naturalized American guard David Czerapowicz (189-99) scored 20 points. RIG Mark's coach Michael Bree rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Hoganas moved-up to seventh place in BEHS forts, which they share with Talje. Loser RIG Mark keeps the sixth position with 11 games lost. Hoganas will face higher ranked Helsingborg (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
