Everything went according to plan when third ranked Hitachi Sunrockers (21-21) won against on the road 5th ranked Akita Happinets (11-31) 63-48 on Saturday. The game without a history. Hitachi Sunrockers led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was international forward Ira Brown (193-82, college: Gonzaga) who scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Naturalized American guard Aki Chambers (190-90, college: Cal Merced) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Leo Lyons (206-87, college: Missouri) produced 12 points and 8 rebounds and his fellow American import power forward Evan Ravenel (203-89, college: Ohio St.) added 6 points and 8 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Hitachi Sunrockers maintains third position with 21-21 record having seventeen points less than leader Tochigi Brex. Akita Happinets lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with 31 games lost. Hitachi Sunrockers will have a break next round. Akita Happinets will play again at home against Hitachi Sunrockers (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
