Regular Season Round 22: PGE Turow - Polfarmex Kutno 109-98

Everything went according to plan in Zgorzelec where tenth ranked PGE Turow (13-11) beat 16th ranked AZS Polfarmex (4-19) 109-98 on Saturday. PGE Turow looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. AZS Polfarmex was plagued by 35 personal fouls down the stretch. American point guard Tweety Carter (180-86, college: Baylor) scored 26 points and 9 assists to lead the charge for the winners and international swingman Michal Michalak (197-93) chipped in 25 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side Canadian center Michael Fraser (203-84, college: Oklah.Baptist) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 12 rebounds and the former international Michal Gabinski (202-87) scored 19 points. Five PGE Turow and four AZS Polfarmex players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. PGE Turow moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. AZS Polfarmex lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the sixteenth position with 19 games lost. PGE Turow will face Asseco (#13) in Gdynia in the next round where they are favorite. AZS Polfarmex will play on the road against Stal Ostrow Wlkp. and hope to win that game.
