Regular Season Round 45: Kagoshima - Aomori Watts 78-87

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Aomori Watts (18-25) beat 6th ranked Kagoshima (5-38) in Renova 87-78 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 11 points at the halftime before their 28-7 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Aomori Watts dominated on the defensive end, holding Kagoshima to just 7 points in third quarter. It was a good game for American forward Alan Wiggins (206-85, college: USF) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. Kenta Tateyama (188-90) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Nigerian forward Chukwudiebere Maduabum (206-91) answered with 14 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Kazuto Sameshima (171-92) added 15 points and 5 steals in the effort for Kagoshima. Five Kagoshima players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Aomori Watts maintains fourth place with 18-25 record, which they share with Cyberdyne IR. Kagoshima lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 38 games lost.
