Everything went according to plan when fifth ranked Milano (15-6) beat at home 8th ranked Albino (9-12) 68-60 on Saturday. The game without a history. Milano led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Milano outrebounded Albino 37-18 including 18 on the offensive glass. Latvian power forward Liga Vente (191-91, college: Eckerd) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and forward Giulia Maffenini (175-92, agency: Two Points) chipped in 12 points and 11 rebounds. Four Milano players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Croatian guard Lana Packovski (170-94) with 22 points and 4 steals and the former international center Elisa Silva (192-88, agency: LBM Management) scored 15 points and 6 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Milano moved-up to fourth place in A2. Loser Albino keeps the eighth position with 12 games lost. Milano will face Carugate (#11) in Corugate in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Albino will play at home against the league's leader Sesto SG and hope to win that game.
