Regular Season Round 45: Shimane SM - Shinshu BW 93-59

B League D2 top team - Shimane Magic (36-6) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Shinshu BW (12-32) 93-59. The game was mostly controlled by Shimane Magic. Shinshu BW was better in fourth quarter 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Shinshu BW 43-29 including a 34-23 advantage in defensive rebounds. Shimane Magic looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Shinshu BW's players. It was a good game for American center Wayne Marshall (211-86, college: Temple) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Jun Abe (177-86) contributed with 16 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four Shimane Magic players scored in double figures. Canadian center Chad Posthumus (211-91, college: Morehead St.) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 20 rebounds and American forward Xavier Ford (201-93, college: Buffalo) added 16 points in the effort for Shinshu BW. Shinshu BW's coach Ryutaro Onodera gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Shimane Magic have an impressive series of eighteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 36-6 record. Shinshu BW lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 32 games lost. Shimane Magic will face again Shinshu BW (#6) in Nagano in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game.
